Youth Soccer Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
- How do I get my child’s uniform for the Cadets Rec or Select Program?
- After completing the registration process, please allow up to 3 business days to receive an email with a link to order your child's uniform. If you don’t find the email in your inbox, check your spam and promotions folders. For any additional questions about uniforms, feel free to contact Molly at mollyw@fwunitedfc.com.
- What is the difference between the Cadets Rec Program and the Select Program?
- Cadets Rec Program: This recreational program includes two sessions per week: one practice and one game, where players compete against others within the same program.
- Select Program: Designed as a bridge between recreational and travel soccer, this program is more competitive. It includes two practices per week and games against external teams, offering a more challenging experience.
- My child is new to soccer. Which program is best for them?
- For players aged 5-6 years old: We recommend the Wee Bear Enrichment program, which is specifically designed for young beginners.
- For players aged 6-14 years old: The Cadets Rec Program is ideal, providing a fun introduction to soccer with a focus on fundamental skills and enjoyment.
- What if my child wants to play with their friend or neighbor for carpooling?
- You may list the friend’s name on your registration under Special Reauests. Although we will try to honor these requests, we cannot make any promises, especially if several players are asking to play together.
- Can my child “play up” an age group?
- These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to our director of recreational soccer, Marina Lima at marinal@fwunitedfc.com if you would like to discuss this.
- I’m interested in individual training for my child. Who should I contact?
- Please complete this questionnaire to provide details about your interest in individual training. The appropriate director will review your submission and contact you with more information.
